I was worried about heat damaging my new table, so I put the trivet under a hot casserole dish during dinner. The sisal held up perfectly, and the red center really pops against the black and cream border—looks pretty on the counter when not in use.

The black and cream banding frames the red center perfectly, and it's larger than I expected—covers plenty of space for my big serving dishes. The sisal feels nice and durable, with a tight weave that protects my table from hot casseroles without any fuss.

I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy the sisal weave feels—it doesn’t slide around under hot pans at all. The red center really makes the black and cream banding pop on my dark table.
