The French knots were fiddly at first but once I got the rhythm they added such a lovely texture to her umbrella. I was a bit worried about the quarter stitches but the chart symbols made them surprisingly clear. Definitely the most fun I've had with a kit in ages.

The black and white symbol chart is so easy to follow, and the mix of full stitches with those few French knots kept it interesting without being frustrating. Finished it in about three weeks of evenings and it looks absolutely magical on my wall.

I was a little nervous about the French knots since I’m a beginner, but the instructions for them are surprisingly clear. The finished piece is going to look so charming on my wall once I finish all that backstitching.
